Funds approved for hospitals

JHANG: DCO Nadir Chattha has approved Rs 3.6 million grant for replacement of bedding cloths, mattresses and urgently required repair and maintenance work of ICC, CCU and operation theatres’ equipments of government health facilities in the district.
Sources said that the DCO approved funds after increase in public complaints regarding referral cases of patients to the Faisalabad Allied Hospital, who were brought to the DHQ, THQ and RHCs of the district for emergency treatment.
When contacted, District Accounts Officer Fazal Elahi said that Rs 1 million had been given at the disposal of the DHQ Hospital medical superintendent, Rs 500,000 at the disposal of each THQ Hospital medical superintendent and Rs 100,000 at the disposal of each Rural Health Centre senior medical officer of the district.
