Non-issuance of roll number slips protested
BANNU: Candidates for a National Testing Service (NTS) examination held to fill out vacancies of teachers have protested against non-provision of roll number slips.
Candidates from North and South Waziristan and from Frontier Region Lakki Marwat staged a protest outside Bannu Degree College No 2. The speakers, including Shahzad Ahmed, Hashim, Zahoor Khan and others said they had applied for teaching vacancies about one month ago.
They said they had been informed that roll number slips would be issued by March 18, but they had not received the same so far.
They said that almost 70 percent candidates were deprived of attempting the paper because they had not received the slips.
When contacted, the staff on duty in the examination hall said they received a list of candidates from authorities and hence they only allowed the candidates for test as per that list.
