Man dies in house fire
Ghulam Zaman, 65, was burnt to death when his Qasba Colony residence was gutted in a fire that police believe was intentional.
The Pirabad police said the deceased’s neighbours managed to put out the fire and rescue Ghulam from the burning house. Though he was shifted to the Qatar Hospital, Ghulam died during treatment. Officials said the deceased lived alone and it was likely that someone had torched the house toclaim his property.
