Fun Land at Roomi Park launched

The Rawalpindi Cantonment Board has launched entertainment facility to the people particularly kids by opening Fun Land in the Roomi Park near Military Hospital, Saddar.
Pakistan Horticulture Agency (PHA) Chairman Malik Ibrar who is also MNA performed the opening of Fund Land and the occasion was graced by Chief Executive Officer of Rawalpindi Cantonment Board, Dr. Saima Shah, vice president of RCB, Raja Jahandad, elected members, Hafiz Hussain Ahmed, Haji Zafar Iqbal, Malik Usman, Secretary RCB, Additional CEO, Rana Rameez Shafqat, Secretary RCB, Qaisar Mahmood Qamar and other staff of the board.
According to secretary, Qaisar Mahmood, the Fun Land building was purchased from M/s. Ibn e Batuta and its condition was deteriorating at the time of procurement. However, for the recreation of public specially children, the RCB management headed by Dr. Saima Shah revamped the building for Fun Land at a cost of Rs40 million and the civic body would get premium of Rs40.2 million. The building whose condition was shabby and deteriorating before revamping was procured on rent from M/s. Ibn e Batuta. A number of electrical and modern type games facilities have been provided including dodging cars, electrical swings, video games besides other.
Malik Abrar while talking on the occasion appreciated efforts of RCB for working on Fun Land project with the objective of providing recreation facility for the children.
However, in his capacity of PHA chairman, Malik Abrar pledged to take practical steps for making the entire Cantonment of RCB and CCB as well as Rawalpindi City beautiful and greenery by sapling plants. The condition of other parks would also be improved and beautified and the government would allocate special funds for this purpose, he said.
As the recreational facilities have been added, a large number of people along with their family were seen thronging the Roomi Park and children and small kids availed full opportunity of games in Fun Land.
