Two exam officials removed for negligence
LAHORE
Two examination superintendents and a deputy superintendent were removed by the Board of Intermediate & Secondary Education (BISE) on Monday for inefficiency in conducting Secondary School (Matriculation) Annual Examination 2016 exam.
According to BISE spokesperson, superintendent of Govt Degree College, Shahkot, Manzoor Ahmad Shakir, SST Govt High School No1, Sangla Hill was removed over inefficiency and lack of interest in the examination duty. Superintendent, Mudassar Ahmad, SST and Deputy Superintendent, Muhammad Shafi, EST, Govt FD Model High School, Garden Town, were removed from examination duties due to sluggish attitude and lack of coordination among the staff.
Meanwhile, the spokesperson added 78 UMC cases had been registered, saying BISE Chairman Dr Muhammad Nasrullah Virk had directed all the examination staff to perform their duties with honesty.
synopses: A meeting of Punjab University’s Advanced Studies and Research Board (AS&RB) was held on Monday which approved 23 PhD synopses and 20 evaluation reports.
The meeting chaired by Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Mujahid Kamran also approved 27 panels of examiners, six extension cases and eight miscellaneous cases.
Prof Dr Muhammad Fakhar-ul-Haq Noori, Prof Dr Muhammad Zakria Zakar, Prof Dr Muhammad Iqbal Chawla, Prof Dr Mumtaz Akhtar, Prof Dr Hassan Mobeen Alam, Prof Dr Shahid Kamal, Prof Dr Javed Iqbal Qazi, Prof Dr Nasira Jabeen, Prof Dr Khalid Hussain, Controller of Examinations Prof Dr Shahid Munir, Chairperson DPCC Prof Dr Kanwal Ameen and others attended the meeting.
skills show: Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (TEVTA) and National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC) will jointly organise a two-day “National Skills Show”. The Skills Show will be held at Expo Centre, Johar Town, on March 29-30.
This was decided in a meeting presided over by Chairperson TEVTA Irfan Qaiser Sheikh with Executive Director National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC) Zulfiqar Ahmad Cheema on Monday.
The meeting was attended by Chief Operating Officer TEVTA Jawad Ahmed Qureshi, Director Punjab Zone NAVTTC Haji Muhammad Dogar and other officers from TEVTA and NAVTTC.
Irfan Qaiser said TEVTA and NAVTTC as part of their employment generation through skills' development would arrange the said mega event to make a significant contribution towards developing a trained workforce adding the objective to organise the National Skills Show was to attract the business community to witness the projects prepared by the trainees.
Zulfiqar Ahmad Cheema said skilled youth force was essential for the progress and development of the country.
