Four get life term for having explosives
LAHORE
An anti-terrorism court Wednesday awarded life imprisonment to four convicts for having explosive material.
The convicts include Asad, Fahd, Musawar and Muneeb. During the hearing, the counsel of the convicts told the judge that Counter Terrorism Department took them in its custody without any solid evidence. He said they had nothing to do with the terrorism. However, a law officer told the court that they were arrested from Minar-i-Pakistan when they were planning to attack anywhere in Lahore. He said the security officials recovered explosive material from their custody. After hearing both sides and recording the statements of the witnesses, Anti Terrorism Court Judge Ch Ilyas announced his verdict and awarded life imprisonment to the convicts.
