Valuables taken away

LAHORE

Robbers deprived citizens of their valuables and vehicles worth millions of rupees on Wednesday. 

Some unidentified thieves stole two laptops, two cellphones and valuables worth lakhs of rupees from the house of a senior journalist, Shafique Awan, in Johar Town area, valuables worth Rs 600,000 from the house of one Adeel in North Cantt, and stole valuables worth Rs 500,000 from the house of one Shahid in Defence B. Robbers snatched valuables including cash and gold ornaments worth lakhs of rupees from the family of one Saghir Ahmad in Kahna and valuables worth Rs 200,000 from the family of one Haneef in Shera Kot. Bikes were stolen from the areas of Shahdara, Shadman and Model Town. Cars were lifted from the areas of Ghalib Market, Ichhara and Ravi Road.

BODY FOUND: A 35-year-old man was found dead in the limits of Kot Lakhpat police station. Police claimed the man yet to be identified was an addict who might have died of excessive use of drugs. 

ARRESTED: Anti Vehicles Lifting Staff arrested three bike lifters and recovered 35 bikes, master keys and illicit weapons from their possession. The arrested bike lifters identified as Habib-ur-Rehman, Amjad Ali and Ali Hassan had confessed to committing dozens of such crimes in various parts of the city.
