Three drug pushers held

LAHORE

Harbanspura Police claimed to have arrested three drug pushers and recovered 2-kg and 400-gram charas from their custody. 

The arrested persons have been identified as Waseem Abbas, Noor Rehman and Asif Mahmood. SP Cantt Imtiaz Sarwar announced cash prize and commendatory certificates for Harbanspura SHO Atif Zulfiqar and his team. 

SECURITY: DIG Prisons, Lahore Region, Malik Mubashar held a meeting at Central Jail, Sahiwal to review security arrangements falling in Lahore region. RPO, Sahiwal, Dr Tariq Chohan and DPO, Sahiwal, Syed Baqir Raza attended the meeting. The superintendents of jails Gulzar Ahmad, Naveed Ashraf, Noor Hassan Baghela and Farooq Lodhi were present there. The DIG directed officers to ensure implementation of SOPs set for security. He added cops should wear bullet proof jackets and helmets besides keeping a close liaison with law enforcement agencies. He said practical steps should be taken for the welfare of prisoners.

POLICE: DIG Operations Dr Haider Ashraf held a meeting with the relevant officers of the government to review the pace of work on the development schemes of Lahore police. The officers of LDA and other departments assured timely completion of the projects.
