As per Eastern Eye, High Commissioner Vikram Doraiswami read King Charles' significant note to the public, in which Prince William's father highlighted the importance of yoga especially for the young generation.
The King said the practice promotes "global principles of unity, compassion and wellbeing."
Mentioning the theme of this year's yoga day, which is 'Yoga for One Earth, One Health', Charles said that it reminds us "how vitally important it is that the world comes together to secure a happy and healthy future for present and future generations."
He added, "Yoga is increasing in popularity across the UK year on year, with millions of people in our country reaping its benefits."
King Charles believes that with yoga, people can improve their physical and mental health, and practising together also enables a sense of well-being and togetherness within communities.
Notably, the monarch issued a new statement after Princess Kate pulled off last minute from Royal Ascot opening day, raising concerns about her health following her cancer battle.
