Taylor Swift has no dark side to her personality, says AJ McLean
AJ McLean is all praise for Taylor Swift during an appearance on the latest episode of the Getting Grilled with Curtis Stone podcast.
Sharing a sweet story, McLean revealed Taylor remembered his 11-year-old daughter Elliott’s name.
"She is, by far, in my opinion, one of the most grounded, humble performers ever," said the 46-year-old about Swift.
McLean continued, "It's like, 'OK, something's gotta be off about you. There's gotta be like a dark side.' And there isn't."
"She's just... she's met my oldest three times," he disclosed.
The Backstreet Boys alum mentioned, "The last time she met her, she remembered her name, which that, as a dad alone, catapulted her into the stratosphere for me."
"You know, we were backstage. She came back... She's like, 'Ava.' And I was just like, 'What? Mind blown,'" recalled the musician.
McLean pointed out, "My daughter's changed her name to Elliott now, it's been Elliott for almost four years now. Nothing to do with sexual preference or anything."
For the unversed, McLean and estranged wife Rochelle McLean share Elliott, who changed her name from Ava four years ago to Elliot.
Elsewhere in the interview, McLean talked about her daughter's name which she changed four years ago.
"She felt like her name wasn't unique, and she was watching, Pete's Dragon one day. And Elliott is the... Elliott's the dragon? Yeah. Elliott. So, she wanted that name, but with two T's," added the musician.
