Richie said that he suggested to Sofia to “calm down” and embrace the last days of her pregnancy.
“I say "When the baby comes, then you can have a nervous breakdown!" It's just a great time!”
Although through his adopted daughter Nicole Richie, the American Idol judge is already a grandfather to 16-year-old Harlow and 14-year-old Sparrow, he said he was looking forward to reliving the pleasure of being a grandparent all over again.
“We're all loving it. I'm over the moon and trying to stay calm. I'm just so excited. For them, I know this is going to be the adventure of a lifetime!”
