Sabrina Carpenter aces SNL debut with 'Espresso' rendition
Sabrina Carpenter made her 'Saturday Night Live' debut on final episode of season 49
Sabrina Carpenter lived up to Espresso lyrics, "I’m working late, cause I’m a singer," with a stunning rendition of the song on her Saturday Night Live debut.
The 25-year-old songstress performed her latest hit track live on the late-night comedy sketch on Saturday, May 18.
She kicked off her performance by sipping an espresso martini on a stage set to the backdrop of a high-end bar.
Carpenter then hit the dance floor, exuding the same energy as the dancers, dressed as staff members of a luxurious hotel bar.
Grooving in a red lacy top, she performed Espresso, claiming the number four spot on Billboard Hot 100, live for the second time since its release. She first performed it live at her Coachella 2024 gig.
Fans gushed over the Tall Girl alum’s SNL season finale stint over social media. One user wrote, "Sabrina was breathtaking, but gotta give props to the two male dancers! THEY ATE IT UP!!!"
Another added, "Her sets have got raunchier, and I love it! That cheeky newspaper was great. Every time she performs a song, it feels brand-new. I love that she let her backup dancers shine! They made this performance, for sure."
Carpenter was tapped as the musical guest in the last episode of the 49th season of the NBC comedy sketch with Jake Gyllenhaal as the host.
