King Charles is thought to put Prince Harry and wife Meghan Markle in a difficult situation by inviting them to Balmoral for the for Royal Family's annual getaway, a royal expert claims.
Over the summer holidays the Royal Family head off on their traditional holiday to Balmoral.
It's been suggested that King Charles will invite Harry and Meghan to the Scottish Highlands retreat this year as it is customary for the monarch to welcome family members to stay at various points over the break.
And now royal expert and author Tom Quinn tells us that an invitation to the getaway could be "difficult" for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. "If the invitation becomes a real invitation – and it is almost certainly to do that - both Harry and Meghan will find themselves in a very difficult position," Quinn tells us.
"They are obsessed with their public image and will be aware that it will look really good if they swallow their pride and came back to the UK," Quinn adds.
"But Meghan still wants that apology from William and King Charles and Kate so it’s going to be difficult for her to swallow her pride, but on the other hand she won’t want to appear to be holding a grudge because that will lead to criticism and she really hates criticism. On the other hand, she knows she always has the children’s needs to fall back on when she makes her apologies and says she can’t come to Balmoral."
Speaking to The Mirror, royal expert Tom Quinn revealed the 75-year-old monarch is holding out hope for a positive response to his invitation for a retreat in the royal family’s Scottish estate in summer.
"According to people I’ve spoken to at Kensington Palace King Charles has hinted to Harry and Meghan that they should come to Balmoral in the summer to see if something can be done about the ongoing feud in the family,” he claimed.
