Kate Middleton is getting ready to take on her first royal engagement after undergoing her ‘planned abdominal surgery’ in January 2024.
The Princess of Wales is set to appear for an event in June as the Ministry of Defence released new details for the Trooping The Colour.
The annual event, which is ceremonially performed every year on Horse Guards Parade in London to celebrate the official birthday of the British sovereign, is set to take place on Saturday, June 8th, 2024, via GB News.
The details of the upcoming event indicate that Kate will be attending the event alongside other members of the royal family, while King Charles is expected to skip it.
“Trooping the Colour reviewed by Her Royal Highness The Princess of Wales is identical to Trooping the Colour reviewed by His Majesty The King, with the exception that some additional mounted officers ride when His Majesty The King is present,” the official website stated.
Kate is also the Colonel Irish Guards which is why she will be “reviewing” the event and the “soldiers will be inspected” by her.
The description also read, “Taking part will be over 1400 soldiers of the Household Division and The King’s Troop Royal Horse Artillery, including 400 musicians from the Massed Bands, all of whom will parade on Horse Guards for the second of two formal Reviews.”
