Colman Domingo recently explained why the third season of Euphoria has been delayed after its last season aired onFebruary 2022.
In a recent interview to GQ, Domingo spilled the beans on pushing Euphoria back for the time being, pointing fingers towards creator Sam Levinson, who had other plans for the story.
According to the creator, it was crucial to make adjustments to the story, reflecting the real world.
Domingo revealed that Sam is a "person who writes and rewrites and writes and rewrites again, because I think he’s wrestling with what’s important."
He spoke of the creator as a ‘perfectionist,’ stating: "He’s responding immediately to what the ills of the world are. I know that the one thing I can tell you is that he’s very much interested in the existential question of who we are right now. Our souls. That’s what he wants to figure out with season three."
Domingo, who plays the role of Ali in Euphoria, is displayed as a man recovering from drug addiction. He also serves as a sponsor and mentor to Zendaya’s rue.
In an interview with Elle, Levinson in August 2023 teased that the third season was a “film noir” and predicted that rue would “explore what it means to be an individual with principles in a corrupt world.”
Jacob Elordi recently joked about show’s delay, admitting: “I hope it’s soon, or they’re going to have to Benjamin Button me or something.”
He joked on the Jimmy Fallon Show, adding: “I’m going to have a bad back walking down the hallway, you know?”
Euphoria serves as a teen drama, revolving around the love, loss, and addiction in the fictional town of East Highland, California.
