Did Lil Tay actually die? Rapper's father refuses to confirm death
Lil Tay send shockwaves after news of her death broke on social media but many believe that it was not true
Rapper Lil Tay’s father Christopher Hope and her manager Harry Tsang have not confirmed that the 14-year-old musician has passed away after a post on her official Instagram confirmed her death.
As per Insider, Hope refused to comment on whether his daughter actually passed away.
Meanwhile, Tsang confirmed that he could not claim the legitimacy of the lengthy statement, that was posted on Instagram by an unnamed family member, which stated that both Tay and her brother Jason Tian died.
He said that because of the "complexities of the current circumstances" he could not "definitively confirm or dismiss the legitimacy of the statement issued by the family".
"This situation calls for cautious consideration and respect for the sensitivities involved" Tsang said.
"My commitment remains focused on delivering updates that are both reliable and appropriately timed."
What happened to Lil Tay?
For the unversed, the music fraternity was left in shock after Lil Tay's latest Instagram post stated that she died.
According to details, the 14-year-old and her brother's deaths were "under investigation".
"We have no words to express the unbearable loss and indescribable pain. This outcome was entirely unexpected, and has left us all in shock," the statement read.
"Her brother’s passing adds an even more unimaginable depth to our grief."
As of yet, the family did not reveal the circumstances of which she passed away.
