LRH employees want problems solved
PESHAWAR: The Health Employees Coordination Council (HECC) of Lady Reading Hospital on Wednesday announced to start wearing black armbands from October 26 if the hospital administration didn’t address their problems.
Dozens of health workers, including paramedics, class-IV employees, members of IT Association, Clerks Association, Sanitation Association, etc, gathered in front of the LRH administration block and held the general body meeting.
HECC president Syed Roidar Shah and other office-bearers of the council addressed the workers. They expressed concern over the alleged irregularities in ongoing recruitment of hospital employees and demanded the government to ensure transparency in the employment process.
The HECC office bearers complained that the present hospital director was victimising health workers, creating an unrest among them. The health workers also demanded restoration of previous status of the accident and emergency department and provide free drugs to all the patients brought to the casualty.
