Results of MA final external exams 2014 announced

The controller examinations, University of Karachi, Professor Dr Arshad Azmi, on Saturday announced the results of MA Final (external) Annual Examinations-2014 of Islamic History, Islamic Studies and Mathematics.

In Islamic History, Sana Sharif, daughter of Muhammad Sharif, bearing seat number 177130 secured first position with 571 marks out of 1,000. Sanober, daughter of Yaqoob, secured second position bearing seat number 177108 with 542 marks, as did Zareen, daughter of Syed Pervaiz bearing seat number 177121, and Naseem Akhter, daughter of Gul Sher, bearing seat number 177148 secured the third position with 521 marks.

The controller of examinations said that 145 students appeared in the exams and only one student secured first division, 49 candidates secured second division and 95 students were declared failed. The overall pass percentage of 34.38 percent.

He further said that in Islamic Studies, Sohail Anwar, son of Muhammad Anwar, bearing seat number 177392 secured the first position with 845 marks out of 1000. Samrine Zehra bearing roll number 177844 secured the second position with 841 marks, and Samreen bearing roll number 177788 bagged the third position with 822 marks.

He added that 774 students appeared in the exams while 342 candidates secured first division, 106 students secured second division and 326 candidates were declared failed. The overall pass percentage was 57.88.

The controller of examinations mentioned that in mathematics 21 students appeared in the exams, and three of them secured first division, only one student had second division and 17 candidates were declared failed. The overall pass percentage stood at 19.05.
