Concern over ‘tough’ question paper
LAHORE
The Punjab Teachers Union (PTU) expressing strong concern over the English question paper of class-5 held on Saturday termed it too difficult for students.
In a press statement, PTU leaders said the students could not prepare well for the Punjab Examination Commission (PEC) exams owing to abrupt closure of schools and on top of it Saturday’s paper was quite tough for the fifth graders. They said the government in the end punished teachers for poor performance of students in the exams without taking into consideration the contributing factors like tough question papers and abrupt holidays badly affecting studies.
The grade-5 exams will end on Monday (tomorrow) with the paper of Mathematics while the grade-8 exam will commence with the paper of Science on Feb. 10.
