ITO concludes at Air University

The closing ceremony of a three-day Indigenous on Campus Training (IOT) was held at the Air University, says a press release.

The Higher Education Commission-funded workshop was organised by Quality Enhancement Cell of Air University under the leadership of Director Quality Air Commodore (r) Abdul Wahab Motla. 

Training Workshop Coordinator Shjia Gul, assistant director of QEC, in her introductory speech, informed that Air University has arranged already a series of such training workshops under the HEC vision of Modern University Governance Programme and during this workshop about 20 participants attended the workshop from different other universities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad. 

Director Quality Air University Air Commodore (r) Abdul Wahab Motla, in his statement, said that the HEC took the initiative to train  education managers and support staff for the better governance in Higher Education Institutions rather to merely focus on teaching faculty. He added that this initiative will bring a sea change in HEIs administration with added value of customized services and professionalism. He admired the role of HEC under the leadership of Chairman Professor Dr. Mukhtar Ahmed for introducing valuable schemes in higher education sector. 

Director Academics Air University Air Vice Marshal (r) Tariq Matin, in his speech, emphasised on the importance of training of faculty and staff. He said it is very useful initiative of HEC to provide the training opportunities to management staff of universities as this effort will enhance adequate professional values. He admired the participation of other universities’ management staff in workshop and hoped that this practice will create friendly ties between education managers of different universities. He further said that Air University always focuses on training, teaching, learning and research to enhance quality of education.

In the end, the chief guest, Director Academics Air University Air Vice Marshal (r) Tariq Matin, distributed certificates among the participants and resource persons of the workshop.
