KARACHI: Rasheed Junior has said he has not resigned and is still the chairman of the national selection committee.
Reports of his resignation emerged as he was not seen during the trials for selection of Pakistan Whites for South Asian Games (SAG).
Sources in PHF said that due to some reason Rasheed could not reach Karachi last week for the trials and it was speculated that he had some differences with PHF and had resigned.
He said that Pakistan hockey was passing through a rebuilding process and he would serve the national game in whatever role was given to him.
Rasheed said he expected Pakistan Whites to perform well in India in the SAG and defend the title.
Pakistan have won the last two editions of South Asian Games.
The sources also confirmed that the other members of the national selection committee would continue to serve.
