Graduates attired in blue and red embroidered robes replete with exuberance and excitement gathered at the Pak-China Friendship Centre, Islamabad here on Tuesday for their graduation ceremony. The 6th Convocation of SZABIST-Islamabad, 2016, kicked off with profoundly energetic graduates and equally contented parents.
Chairman Senate Mian Raza Rabbani presided over the event. He emphasised over the need to set aside every iota of cynicism with regards to country’s difficult situation and that students should exercise their true potential and make their country proud.
The Chancellor of SZABIST, Dr. Azra Fazal Pechuho, congratulated the graduates on their achievements and admired their unrelenting commitment in the completion of their degree.
Ms. Shahnaz Wazir Ali (President, SZABIST), Ms. Nasreen Haque Vice President (Administration & Finance), Dr. M. Altaf Mukati (Vice President Academics) and Head of the Campus Mr. Khusro Pervaiz Khan graced the occasion with their presence.
Students from various disciplines i.e. Management Sciences, Computer Sciences, Social Sciences and Media Sciences graduated on this occasion. As many as 15 gold medalists from different departments claimed their achievements from the guest of honour.
The students from SZABIST Student Council carried out the responsibilities of Ushers and the rest of the faculty and staff members managed the proceedings to perfection.
