Shinkiari village in the Mansehra district acts as the main hub for surrounding areas like Bajna, Tanda, Baffa, Bedadi, Baghuwar, Tambah, Ichrian, Darhial, Dadar, Sum, Jaborhi, Sachan, etc, to meet their basic needs. There is only one high school for boys and girls there that is meeting the needs of the village as well as these surrounding areas.
There is a need for a degree college – both for boys and girls – because only a few families can afford to send their children for degree-level studies in cities. The rest have to content with the village school. The authorities concerned should look into this issue.
