‘Failure on economic targets shows government’s incompetence’
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) spokesperson Naeemul Haque, while responding to a statement given by Minister for Information and Broadcasting Pervaiz Rashid on Sunday, said that the failure to achieve the economic targets during the financial year 2015-16 reflected the incompetence of the government.
He said that democratic governments considered peaceful protests as adding that Pervaiz Rashid’s objection to political activities was an inconceivable matter. Naeemul Haq said that the only objection the ministers would have was of accountability over peaceful political activities. He added that the 126-day long sit-in organised by PTI set a precedent for peaceful protests in the country. PTI leader said that the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) government should not blame the sit-in for its incompetent governance and failed policies. -
