KARACHI: An inauguration ceremony was held in CAER villages for the Educational and Community Physical Infrastructure projects by Deputy Commissioner Ghotki, a statement said.
The ceremony was also attended by Administration Manager Azhar Malik along with other Engro Fertilizer team members. The adopted schools programme has received a United States Agency for International Development (USAID) grant of Rs22 million to implement a reading programme in the 13 Engro adopted schools of Qadirpur and Daharki, it said.
Funding will provide more than 1,300 primary school children with the Information Communication Tools (ICT) to further their reading skills in Urdu, Sindhi, and English, it said.
Malik said, “Engro Foundation aims at realising the dreams of our people to make a difference in the lives of those around us and in our value chain.” “At Engro, we believe in the power of Pakistan’s human capital to change the face of communities and economies and make them agents of a wider change.”
