In a massive drive against ice factories, Punjab Food Authority (PFA) sealed many ice manufacturers operating in and around the provincial capital Monday.
PFA’s Samanabad Town team sealed two ice factories, Sarfaraz Ice Factory and Bota Ice Factory, on Bund Road and sealed them for using dirty water for making ice blocks. The team also sealed Madni Milk Shop for various violations.
Team of Ravi Town sealed Maqsood Ice Factory in Shahdara after samples taken from the factory earlier failed. The team also sealed Tayaba Milk Shop in the same locality. Team of Data Town sealed Riaz Milk Shop for selling adulterated milk. Team of Nishtar Town sealed Bhola Sweets in Naseerabad area for various violations.
Meanwhile, PFA issued warning notices to various manufacturers such as Deli KC Food and Ideal Sweets and Bakers in Muslim Town, Shahi Tikka at Dhobi Ghat in Wahgah Town and Punjab Ice Cream and Kasuri Milk Shop in Township. Teams of PFA destroyed adulterated and unhygienic juices from various shops across the city.
