‘Sports for Peace’

A large number of squash players arrived at Rawalpindi from all over Pakistan to participate in the Pakistan’s First Benazir Bhutto Women’s and Junior Boys National Squash Championship 2016 at Benazir Bhutto Squash Complex, Murree Road, says a press release.
The event includes players from PAF, WAPDA, ADB, SNGPL and other departments.
The event is organised by Global Peace Foundation (A Charitable Trust, Committed to groom the next generation of Peace Makers) and Daily ‘Jang’ (Cultural and Sports Wing) Rawalpindi in collaboration with Rwp District Squash Association.
The qualifying round is scheduled today (May 14), whereas the Chairman of Global Peace Foundation and renowned Philanthropist Muhammad Gulzar Awan along with the office bearers of Rawalpindi District Squash Association will formally inaugurate the Championship on May 15, at 4 p.m. ‘Sports for Peace’ is the catch line slogan adopted for the championship to promote Peace and Harmony in the country.
