Four killed in DI Khan firing incidents
DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Unidentified gunmen on Thursday shot dead four persons in separate firing incidents in the district, police officials said.
They said that unidentified gunmen riding a motorcycle shot dead Mukhtiar Hussain in Ijazabad area. They said the accused also opened fire on Akhtar Hussain who was standing nearby, leaving him critically wounded. They said the injured was shifted to a hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
The deceased was a teacher at the Government Higher Secondary School Dhaki. They said the second incident occurred on Grid Road where unidentified gunmen opened fire on two motorcyclists, killing them both on the spot. The deceased were identified as Ali Muntazir Advocate and Atif Zaidi Advocate.
The police handed over the bodies to relatives for burial after autopsy. The police lodged separate cases and started investigation. The security in the city has been beefed up after the incidents and the police have established checkpoints at the entry and exit points to Dera Ismail Khan.
