Opposition’s consensus must for setting up ToRs: Bilawal

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Monday said that a consensus among the opposition parties is essential for setting up terms of reference (ToRs) for the Panama Leaks’ investigation and these ToRs must be decided by parliament.
The parliamentary committee formed by the PPP chairman to coordinate with other parties for a united strategy on Panama Leaks called on the PPP chairman at the Zardari House.
Senator Aitzaz Ahsan and Syed Khursheed Shah briefed the PPP chairman on progress in coordination and consultation with other political parties on the subject of Panama Leaks. He instructed the committee members to consult all the political parties in parliament and adopt a united strategy on the Panama Leaks.
He also directed them to submit a report as soon as a consensus strategy is evolved.Members of the committee who called on PPP chairman included the Opposition Leader in Senate,Chaudhry Aitzaz Ahsan, Opposition Leader in the National Assembly, Syed Khursheed Ahmed Shah, Naveed Qamar, MNA, Aijaz Jakhrani, MNA, and Senator Saleem Mandviwala. PPP Parliamentarians Vice President Senator Sherry Rehman and Political Secretary to the PPP chairman Jameel Soomro were also present on the occasion.
