Nation's billions of rupees saved in public welfare projects: Shahbaz
LAHORE
Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has said the PML-N government, under the leadership of Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, has forwarded projects with transparency and high standard and billions of rupees of the nation have been saved in public welfare projects.
He said that saving national resources of billions of rupees was unprecedented in the history of the country. He said that Pakistan was moving towards progress and prosperity but, unfortunately, some political elements were trying to create hurdles in this process for the achievement of their personal interests. He said that people of Pakistan would foil every conspiracy of these elements.
The chief minister said that politics of sit-in caused a huge loss to Pakistan in 2014 and now when the country was moving towards its destination, efforts were being made once again to stop development and prosperity through protests politics. He said that those indulging in the politics of chaos and anarchy would have to face failure. He said it was strange that those who got their loans waved off on political grounds were talking of accountability but they would also be held accountable. He said, "Our hands are clean and PML-N government is spending every penny of national resources on welfare of the people with honesty."
He expressed these views while talking to the elected representatives who called on him on Tuesday. Those who met him included Member National Assembly Mian Alam Dad Laleka, Akram Sheikh, former MNA Sheikh Waqas Akram and MPA Mansha Ullah Butt.
