PM owns Rs1.96 bn property, Imran Rs1.31 bn

ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has released details of assets owned by the members of parliament of 2014-15 on its website.

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has Rs1 billion and 960 million and has no property abroad while his son Hussain Nawaz has sent him Rs210.5 million from abroad. The prime minister also owns property worth Rs250 million on Upper Mall in Murree. The PM received agricultural land worth Rs1.7 billion share from legacy and gifts.

Kalsoom Nawaz, the spouse of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, owns property worth Rs100 million on the Hall Road in Lahore. She does not own any business abroad.

Imran Khan has no assets abroad and according to him his residence at Banigala, which has a total worth of Rs750 million, was gifted to him. His residence in Zaman Park, Lahore, is valued at Rs220 million and a jeep worth Rs5 million. He also owns a luxury flat at Shahara-e-Dastoor and owns two cows and one buffalo worth Rs0.3 million. He has no business abroad. His total assets were Rs1.31 billion worth, reported a private news channel on Thursday.

Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman owns assets worth Rs6.8 million only and has no personal car.

Jamshed Dasti has total assets of Rs2,653 and has been declared as the poorest parliamentarian.

The document of National Assembly Speaker Ayaz Sadiq’s assets has disappeared mysteriously.

PM’s son-in-law Captain Safdar owns more than Rs10 million of assets while Hamza Shahbaz owns Rs340 million, which are present in Pakistan. Opposition Leader Khursheed Shah has Rs40.8 million worth of assets.
