Patwari, two others booked
PESHAWAR: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB), Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, on Tuesday arrested a patwari, and two other persons for alleged involvement in corruption and corrupt practices in acquisition of 500 kanal land for Workers Welfare Board at Mouza Shahi Bala in the provincial capital.
An official communiqué said that Muhammad Ilyas Patwari of Mouza Shahi Bala, Peshawar, in connivance with others prepared fake/fabricated “Aust Yaksala.”Afterwards, he presented fraudulent mutation papers with exorbitant rates to the price negotiation committee, the NAB statement added.
The accused Raza Shah, it said, along with accused Muhammad Idrees worked with connivance of officials of the revenue department, WWB and others and received more than Rs50 million as kickbacks/commission and embezzled the same.
