Woman attempts suicide 

LAHORE

A 20-year-old woman attempted self-immolation over a domestic dispute in the Mozang police limits on Tuesday.

Maryub Bibi of Bahawal Sher Road contracted love marriage to Bilal a year before. Later, they developed differences. On the day of the incident, she exchanged harsh words with her family members, locked herself in a room and set herself ablaze by sprinkling petrol on her and a sofa. The family members informed rescue teams who rescued the victim and admitted her to hospital. 

ACCIDENTS: At least 681 accidents were reported in Provincial Monitoring Cell of Punjab Emergency Service (Rescue 1122) in all 36 districts of Punjab during the last 24 hours in which six lives were lost and 553 serious injured were shifted to different hospitals of relevant districts. Some 240 victims who sustained minor injuries were discharged on the spot after giving them first aid by emergency medical teams.
