KARACHI: Mohsin Khan was Pakistan’s coach when they thrashed England in their ‘home’ Test series in the UAE.

But the former Test opener was still shown the door as Pakistan opted for a foreign coach.

Now Mohsin, who played 48 Tests and 75 One-day Internationals for Pakistan, has once again thrown his hit in the ring.

While the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has offered him to become the chief selector, Mohsin has made it clear that he wants to be Pakistan’s coach.

Mohsin,61, said on Tuesday that he can file an application for the job of head coach but made it clear that he won’t appear before former Test cricketers Wasim Akram and Ramiz Raja. The duo have been entrusted with the responsibility to help PCB hire a suitable head coach for the national team.
