Cop among six killed in Bannu incidents

BANNU: Five persons, including a cop, were killed in separate incidents in the district on Tuesday, official sources said.One Nawab Ali reported to the police that his brother Ghaffar Ali, 45, was on his way in the limits of Ghuriwala Police Station when Sadullah Khan fired at him, killing him on the spot. Motive behind the incident was stated to be an old enmity.

Meanwhile, a policeman identified as Ali Badshah was on his way to attend his duty when unidentified gunmen shot him dead near Imambargah. Motive behind the incident could not be ascertained. Similarly, unidentified gunmen fired at an internally displaced person (IDP) identified as Musa Khan from North Waziristan Agency in Tanzeem Bazaar in the limits of Basiakhel Police Station and killed him.

Another IDP identified as Dure Kamil was on his way home when unidentified gunmen fired at him in Jhandokhel falling in the limits of Township Police Station, killing him on the spot. In another incident, 19-year old Nadar Khan was on his way in the limits of Basiakhel Police Station when unidentified gunmen shot him dead. Also, one Naqeebullah died after he consumed poisonous alcohol in Shabkhel Wanda.
