Nawaz’s anti-terror policy might wind up democracy: Bilawal
Says there are two justice systems in country; ZA Bhutto’s execution murder of humanity, democracy
LARKANA: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Monday asked Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif to carefully pursue his policy on fighting terrorists lest he put democracy off track.
Addressing a rally at Garhi Khuda Bakhsh on the occasion of ZA Bhutto’s 37th death anniversary, he said Bhutto’s execution was not the murder of a single personality but of humanity, democracy and the Constitution.
He criticised Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif for allowing former president Pervez Musharraf to leave the country. He said there were two systems of justice in the country.
“Mian Sahib how and why did the accused of the Constitution, betrayer and killer of my mother flee and the courts are now asking who will bring Musharraf back to the courts?”
Bilawal said his grandfather ZA Bhutto was executed on judicial orders, while his father Asif Zardari was kept behind bars for 11 years. He questioned why a woman prime minister was killed in daylight.
He also asked the establishment, the judiciary and political parties about the sin and crime of his grandfather. He claimed that Bhutto’s crime was that he brought back 90,000 troops from Bangladesh and gave Pakistan its first Constitution.
He asked why Musharraf and ZA Bhutto had separate systems to be dealt with. He said Nawaz had taken the biggest loans in the history of the country.
“Loans worth Rs3 to 4 trillion have been taken in three years. The poor are asking for bread but the government is providing them with the Metro Bus and Metro Train. Mian Sahib you had distributed the the tax evaders’ money among your friends.”
The PPP chairman said the prime minister lacked the ability to get the National Action Plan (NAP) implemented and said had the NAP been implemented, no one could dare hijack Islamabad for four days.
It is heard, he said, that RAW agents have been rounded up from the Ramzan Sugar Mills. He said being the son of the martyrs of Garhi Khuda Bakhsh, he will fight against terrorism to the last drop of his blood. He said the mandate of the people of Kashmir had been stolen and there was no proper foreign and domestic policy.
