Revisit roads
How would it feel driving three kilometres in 45 minutes or more twice a day? This is what happens between the Kahuta turn and Nullah Lai bridge on GT Road in Rawalpindi. Some kind of construction work has been going on there for the last six months without an end in sight. Even Wapda, which has presumably been paid to relocate its poles in the said piece of road, has not done its job.
The Punjab government follows lopsided policies fervently where it wants to but ignores areas where attention must be paid urgently. The same is the case on Multan Road in Lahore from Thokar Niaz Beg to the Shapur turn where traffic chaos prevails permanently. An additional lane needs to be added to this stretch of the road.
