Hospital woes

The Lady Reading Hospital in Peshawar always works to full capacity. One can hardly find an empty bed in the hospital. In some cases, patients bring their own beds. Maintaining hygiene is a tough task and is therefore easily compromised by the staff. Stray animals can be seen roaming in the wards, eating leftover food and sitting with patients and their attendants.
Different mafias have destroyed the hospital. Doctors are more interested in private practice. Their attitude with patients at times is embarrassing and that is the reason why the majority of patients from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa prefer doctors in Islamabad. Moreover, patients from Afghanistan are openly robbed of their money.
