ISLAMABAD: Defence analyst and Chairman Senate Standing Committee on Defence Production Lt. Gen (R) Abdul Qayyum on Sunday said red handed capture and subsequent confessional statement of RAW’s high profile spy Kulbhushan Yadav did expose India’s ugly face before international community.

He said India had previously been committing state terrorism in Occupied Kashmir but later on it tried to penetrate into Pakistan with the same agenda which law enforcement agencies (LEAs) foiled effectively. “India has been blaming Pakistan for sponsoring non state actors but Pakistan has exposed Indian state terrorism by arresting its agent,” he said.

“The RAW agent’s main goal was to disrupt development process of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), attack Gwadar Deep Sea Port ships  and installation of the Pakistan Navy. For this objective the spy did train some Baloch separatists in Mumbai for using speed boats to carry out terrorist activity in that province,” he added.

Yadav, a serving officer of Indian Navy who was apprehended by LEAs on March 3 while infiltrating into Pakistan from Saravan border area of Balochistan with Iran, had confessed in a video statement to foment terrorism in Balochistan and Karachi.

Qayyum said the capture of agent did prove that India had been using soil of neighbouring countries to carry out subversive activities in Pakistan to achieve its nefarious designs. He said Pakistan was conveying to neighbouring countries that India had been operating to destablise Pakistan in the first phase of its well thought out conspiracy and after this it would move towards them.

He urged Muslim countries to exhibit full unity and responsibility to foil ulterior motives of India. He said the confessional statement and solid evidence of India’s involvement in anti-state activities in Pakistan were being shared at appropriate forums including the United Nations.

Answering a question he said there was no sectarian issue in the country but it was India which was secretly fanning it especially in Balochistan. He appreciated Pakistan’s intelligence agencies particularly Inter Services Intelligence (ISI) for arresting Indian Navy’s high ranking officer working for RAW.
