Balochistan thrash Punjab in disabled cricket tourney

KARACHI: Balochistan registered their third consecutive victory in Shama Disabled T20 Pentangular Cup 2016 when they crushed defending champions Punjab by seven wickets at the RLCA Ground here on Sunday.

Punjab posted a competitive total of 153-4 in 20 overs. Ashfaq Shakir played an unbeaten 85-run knock off 63 balls. Balochistan’s Abdullah Khan captured three wickets for 24 runs.

Balochistan reached the target in 16.3 overs with seven wickets in hand. Saifullah (60 off 37 balls) and Jahanzaib Tiwana (60 off 40 balls) amassed 127 runs for the second wicket.

In another match, also played at the RLCA, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa defeated FATA by 22 runs. Nihaar Alam put an impressive all-round performance –- first scoring 60 runs and later snaring three scalps. Gohar Ali also claimed three wickets.
