CTD arrests three ‘MQM hitmen’

The Counter Terrorist Department (CTD) claimed arresting three alleged target killers of the Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) in two raids in the city on Saturday.
Police said they seized 30 Kalashnikovs and thousands of lives bullets from the three suspects.
A raid was conducted on a hideout in Landhi after the CTD was tipped off that some terrorists involved in target killings were hiding there.
The swoop led to the arrest of Imran alias Bakra, who admitted during the initial interrogation that he had killed more than 15 people.
Acting on his information, police raided a plot in Landhi and found 25 Kalashnikovs and thousands of rounds hidden there.
In another raid, CTD officials arrested Shakeel alias Ganga and Rahmet alias Dumba and seized five Kalashnikovs and ammunition from their possession.
During the preliminary questioning, the two admitted that on May 12, 2007 they had attacked the Aaj TV offices. They also admitted killing 25 people.
