PM not ready to spare hooligans
ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif refused to budge from his earlier position on neither to negotiate nor to release detained protesters.
Nawaz in a meeting of senior members of the party and the cabinet made it clear that miscreants and law violators will not be spared at any cost. Sources told The News that officers of Islamabad administration who were engaged in negotiating process with protesters categorically refused to release detained protesters who were involved in ransacking.
The representative of Islamabad administration gave surety to the protesters that justice will be served on the arrested protestors. Finance Minister Ishaq Dar proposed the government should also engage protesters through dialogue and operation should be the last resort, which was endorsed by the Prime Minister. PM Nawaz Sharif spent whole time at PM House to personally monitor the ongoing process.
