The keen interest being shown by major world powers in the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor is a testament to the fact that the project will prove to be a game-changer in the region. The rolled out plans once completed will bring progress and prosperity to all parts of the country. We will witness development in industries like mines, tourism, agriculture, industry, export, communications, etc, that will boost the economy and living standards of the people.
We need skilled human resource that would assist in building roads, bridges, structures, fixing of installations, etc. The foremost requirement to meet the pursuits of the corridor is to incorporate latest chapters of knowledge in textbooks. Subjects such as forestry, gems and jewellery, tourism, communications should be made an integral part of curricula. For this there is a need for universities and educational boards to collaborate and coordinate to meet the challenges of the CPEC Moreover, the government should raise the budget for education.
