ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has set March 25-30 as the timeframe for the collection of nomination papers for the general elections according to the proposed election schedule.
According to the ECP, nomination papers of candidates will be scrutinized from 31 March till April 6.
From April 7, appeals against reservations raised on nomination papers would be filed while candidates can withdraw nomination papers till April 18.
On April 19, the final list of candidates would be issued which would be 22 days prior to the general elections being held. Candidates would be given 21 days form election campaigning.
Earlier on Wednesday, President Zardari signed the summary for general elections to be held on May 11.
