Labourer tortured to death by kiln owner

PAKPATTAN: A labourer was allegedly tortured to death by a kiln owner and his clerk at Chak Dhokku Chishti.

Nasreen Bibi, wife of Yaqoob, worked in the kiln of accused Zareef Khan. On the day of the incident, the woman demanded her wage, which infuriated the accused kiln owner. Later, Zareef and his clerk Saleem allegedly tortured her severely and closed her in a room where she died four days ago. Meanwhile, labourers staged a demonstration at Nagina Chowk and demaded action against the accused persons.

Amina (10) and Jamila (9) were playing inside their house when suddenly a wall of their house collapsed and fell on them. As a result, both sisters died on the spot.

ACCIDENT CLAIMS LIFE: A youth died in an accident near Chak 22-KB on Monday. Ghulam Mustafa was on his way by a bike when a rickshaw hit his bike. As a result, he died on the spot while three others sustained injuries.
