The body of a 19-year-old picnicker was found in the sea off Mubarak Village on Monday. Maripur police SHO Muhammad Iqbal said a team of divers fished out the body and shifted it to a nearby private healthcare facility. Relatives of the deceased later reached the health centre and identified the teenager as Rizwan, son of Shakoor.
SHO said that in-laws of the deceased told police that their family had arrived in Mubarak Village for picnic on Sunday when Rizwan drowned due to high tides. He added that the heirs of the deceased took away his body for burial without completing legal formalities.
