30 killed in coach-tanker collision on Super Highway

KARACHI: A fierce head-on collision between a passenger coach and an oil tanker left at least 30 people dead and several others injured on the Super Highway link road, television channels and rescue sources said late on Saturday night. However, sources feared more casualties in the accident.
Reports said that the Shikarpur-bound coach carrying 55 passengers collided head-on with an oil tanker coming from the opposite side. As a result, at least 30 passengers were killed while several others were injured till the filling of this report.
The bus caught fire after the accident. Passengers traveling on the roof jumped off the burning coach to save their lives.
Fire tenders rushed to the site of the accident and started efforts to control the fire.
