Youth held for attempting to ‘abduct’ child

GUJRANWALA: A youth was caught and beaten by citizens when he was allegedly trying to abduct a seven-year-old boy on Noshera Road on Sunday. Accused Imran of Kamoke was taking the boy with him when some passersby stopped him on suspicion and asked him about the boy. They caught him and beat him for allegedly kidnapping the boy. However, the accused said that he was not kidnapping the boy. He said that he was trying to snatch Rs 500 from the boy which he had in his hand. Baghbanpura police have started investigation.
