Woman attempts suicide in police station over FIR refusal

KHANEWAL: A woman attempted suicide inside a police station after the staff allegedly refused to register her FIR here on Sunday. A woman came to the Jahanian police station and tried to register a complaint against her husband. The police station staff allegedly refused to register an FIR which disappointed her. To it, she attempted suicide. She was rushed to a hospital in a critical condition. Meanwhile, the SHO and three other policemen were suspended and investigation against them was started. The DSP Sadr Khanewal has been tasked to investigate into the matter.
