LAHORE
A 35-year-old man was stabbed to death by his two relatives in the Sabzazar area on Thursday.
The victim was identified as Masood of Awan Town, Sabzazar. On the day of the incident, Masood was on his way when his two relatives Noor Mohammad and Bilal intercepted and stabbed him following an old property issue. The injured man was rushed to hospital where he died. Police shifted the body to morgue and registered a murder case.
found dead: A 60-year-old man was found dead in the limits of Nishtar Colony police station on Thursday.
The deceased was identified as Mohammad Khan. Police said the old man was a malang who might have died of natural causes. Police shifted the body to morgue.
Meanwhile, two persons expired in hospital on Thursday, a day after they received injuries in an explosion of gas cylinder in Shahdara.
The deceased persons were identified as Waseem, 16, and Zahid, 32. A gas cylinder exploded in Yousaf Park, Shahdara in which one died and five others had sustained injuries.
Woman dies: A 67-year-old woman expired in Lahore General Hospital on Thursday, three days after she was admitted to Medical Unit 1.
The woman was identified as Irshad Anjum, wife of Mohammad Anwar of Mandi Bahauddin. Police said three persons Amir, Bilal and an unidentified man took the woman from Mandi Bahauddin and disappeared after getting her admitted to the hospital where she expired Thursday.
accidents: Total 683 road traffic accidents were reported in Provincial Monitoring Cell of Punjab Emergency Service (Rescue 1122) in all districts of Punjab during the last 24 hours; in which seven lives were lost and 571 serious injured were shifted to different hospitals of relevant districts. However, some 209 victims, who sustained minor injuries, were discharged on the spot after provision of first aid.
security: CCPO Lahore Thursday had a meeting with the PTI leaders in connection with Raiwind procession.
The CCPO told that 7,000 officers and officials would perform security duty. He said that people visiting to the Raiwind procession would be frisked in three layers of security checks before they would be allowed to enter the premises.
